Anthropic Calls for AI Pause Button to Let Humans Take Stock

Anthropic published a blog post by co-founder Jack Clark and Anthropic Institute lead Marina Favaro calling for a joint government-developer mechanism to slow or pause AI work judged dangerous, arguing the technology is approaching the point where it can make human labor thousands of times more efficient or replace it outright.
